1. Agreement to these Terms
These Terms & Conditions govern access to and use of SkillBridge Academy - Zambia ("SkillBridge", "we", "us"), including our website, learner accounts, course marketplace, assessments, live-class features, payment verification and certificate services.
By creating an account, buying or enrolling in a course, or using the platform, you agree to these Terms and the policies linked from this page. If you do not agree, do not use the platform.
2. Accounts and eligibility
- Provide accurate registration information and keep it reasonably up to date.
- You are responsible for safeguarding your password and activity under your account.
- Accounts are personal and may not be sold, transferred or shared with another learner.
- If you are not legally able to enter a binding contract on your own, a parent, guardian or other authorised adult must consent to your use of paid services.
3. Courses and training providers
SkillBridge is a multi-provider learning platform. A course may be created and delivered by SkillBridge or by an approved third-party training provider. The course page identifies the provider responsible for the learning content.
We may review, approve, reject, suspend or remove courses to protect learners, maintain quality, comply with law or enforce platform rules. Course outlines, schedules or instructors may be reasonably updated where this does not materially deprive learners of the service purchased.
4. Pricing, Mobile Money and enrolment
- Prices are displayed in the currency shown on the course page, normally Zambian Kwacha (ZMW).
- For manual Mobile Money purchases, learners must send the exact amount to an official receiving number shown inside SkillBridge checkout and submit a valid transaction reference and payment screenshot.
- Never send a Mobile Money PIN, password or OTP to SkillBridge, a provider or another learner.
- Enrolment becomes active only after the payment is verified and approved, unless the course is free or access is granted by an authorised administrator.
- Submitting false payment proof may lead to rejection, suspension or further action.
5. Licence to use course materials
Unless a course clearly says otherwise, enrolment gives you a personal, limited, non-exclusive and non-transferable right to access the course for learning purposes. It does not transfer ownership of videos, documents, presentations, quizzes, recordings, designs or other course materials.
You may not republish, resell, mass-download, distribute, screen-record for redistribution, remove ownership notices or make course materials publicly available without permission from the relevant rights holder.
6. Assessments, academic integrity and progress
You must complete assessments using your own work unless collaboration is expressly permitted. Attempt limits, pass marks, time limits and required lessons are displayed by the platform or course provider. Cheating, impersonation, answer-sharing or manipulating progress records may invalidate an assessment or certificate.
7. Live classes
Live classes may use third-party meeting services such as Google Meet. Learners must join respectfully, follow instructor directions and avoid recording or redistributing a session without permission. Availability of third-party meeting services is subject to their own terms and technical systems.
8. Certificates
A SkillBridge certificate confirms that the learner met the completion requirements recorded for that course. Unless the course page expressly states otherwise, a certificate of completion is not the same as a university qualification, professional licence, government accreditation, ZAQA recognition or a guarantee of employment. The Certificate Policy forms part of these Terms.
9. Refunds and consumer rights
Refund requests are handled under our Refund Policy. Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits a consumer right that cannot lawfully be excluded under applicable Zambian law.
10. Acceptable use and suspension
You must follow the Acceptable Use Policy. We may restrict or suspend access where reasonably necessary to investigate fraud, security threats, abuse, payment disputes, intellectual-property complaints or serious breaches of these Terms. Where appropriate, we will provide notice and an opportunity to resolve the issue.
11. Availability and third-party services
We work to keep SkillBridge available and secure, but internet services can experience maintenance, outages, hosting limitations or third-party failures. We do not promise uninterrupted availability. Where a disruption materially affects a paid service, we will take reasonable steps to restore access, reschedule delivery or provide another appropriate remedy.
12. Liability and legal rights
To the extent permitted by law, SkillBridge is not responsible for indirect or consequential losses that were not reasonably foreseeable from use of the platform. This clause does not exclude liability or rights that applicable law does not allow us to exclude.
These Terms are governed by the laws of Zambia. Before starting formal proceedings, you agree to first contact us so that we can try to resolve the matter in good faith. Nothing prevents a consumer from using a competent regulator, tribunal or court where applicable.
13. Changes and contact
We may update these Terms when the platform, law or our services change. The updated date will appear at the top of this page. Material changes may also be communicated through the platform or email.
