1. Purpose

This policy explains how SkillBridge Academy - Zambia handles refund requests for paid courses and live learning. It is intended to be fair to learners while recognising that digital course access may be consumed immediately after approval.

Your statutory rights still apply. Nothing in this policy removes a remedy or refund right that cannot lawfully be excluded under applicable Zambian consumer-protection law.

2. Refunds we normally approve

  • Duplicate payment or overpayment: the duplicate or excess amount can be refunded after verification.
  • Payment approved but course access not provided: if a platform fault prevents access and we cannot fix it within a reasonable time.
  • Course cancelled before substantial delivery: a full refund or an agreed transfer to another suitable course.
  • Material service failure: where the course or live service is not delivered with reasonable care/skill, is materially different from what was sold, or another refund/remedy is required by law.
  • Change of mind: we may approve a request made within 7 calendar days after payment approval where the learner has completed no more than 20% of required course content, has not received a certificate and has not substantially consumed a live-class service.

3. Requests that may be declined

Subject always to mandatory legal rights, a change-of-mind refund may be declined where:

  • more than 20% of required course content has been completed or substantially accessed;
  • a certificate has already been issued;
  • a scheduled live class has already been attended or substantially delivered;
  • the learner was suspended for fraud, account sharing, piracy or another serious policy breach;
  • the request is based only on failure to meet an assessment pass mark where the course and assessment were delivered as described.

4. Rejected or pending Mobile Money proof

A payment marked pending has not yet been approved. A rejected proof submission is not treated as a completed purchase unless SkillBridge actually received and verified the money. If money was sent but the proof was rejected in error, contact support with the transaction reference so we can investigate.

5. How to request a refund

Email skillbridgeacademy086@gmail.com and include your full name, account email, course title, payment reference, date of payment and the reason for the request. Do not send your Mobile Money PIN or OTP.

We may ask for reasonable information to verify the payer and prevent refund fraud.

6. Refund method and timing

Approved refunds are normally returned to the original payer or another verified method agreed with SkillBridge. Processing time can depend on the Mobile Money network, banking system and verification required. We aim to process approved refunds promptly and, where the law requires a particular remedy or timeframe, that requirement prevails.

7. Provider-funded courses

Where a third-party training provider delivered the course, SkillBridge may coordinate with that provider when investigating the request. The learner does not need to resolve a platform payment dispute alone with the provider where SkillBridge collected the payment.
